I hate Dinosaurs!!

No, I'm not afraid of Dinosaurs, I just simply can't stand anything to do with them. I do realize however, that research done on dinosaurs may have helped with some advances in medicine, and that's great. But, I just get agitated that people spend so much time worrying if dinosaurs did this, if dinosaurs did that, did they eat their babies, did they like to fight on water, did they get bit by mosquitoes, etc. I don't like TV shows that depict CG dinosaurs as if it's some nature show - I thought I was watching hippos on TV but it was some fake dinosaur. What really makes me feel the most disgust towards dinosaurs is when my Discover Magazine comes with a great big picture of a dinosaur on the cover. I guess I just don't personally care if they ate their neighbors, walked their dogs, or crawled or flew. Now I will ask Tim to change the channel - away from a show that would like to hatch dinosaurs from fragments of DNA. He can't change the channel - he's really enjoying the show.

Happy Birthday Thriller!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MThEoxSWURA
Watch this Lego version of thriller - it's hot!
So, I don't feel real passionate about too many things but I love Thriller. Today is it's 25th anniversary. It's the highest selling album ever EVER!!!! Over 105 million copies have sold. (on a side note, the duet with Paul McCartney was removed either due to Michael's disdain for Paul or something to do with Paul being mad at Michael for having owned the Beatles songs, which have since been sold to pay off Neverland). So, have a thrilling day, and remember - songs like Beat It and Billy Jean also appear on the album. On the rereleased album, special appearances by Akon, Fergie, and others prevail. Can someone download the new one for me?

Land of Lincoln - with Spoken Four

This is me at Abe Lincoln's Crypt. So one might ask yourself, 'self, do the Smith's plan their trips around cemeteries?" And the answer would be, mostly, yes. This trip, we flew into St. Louis, picked up Kara and Nick, and headed North to Peoria IL in a brand new loaded Dodge minivan - it had some super sweet features, like middle row heated seats. Then, Friday night we went to a bar and saw our new favorite band Spoken Four. Hair gel was requested by a band member and Kara and I quickly acquired some. The whole concert was dedicated to us, including a Neil Diamond song dedicated to 'dad, out in the car.' There was even a bar fight right by us! Eventually, so I could dance without being bothered, I set up a coral of chairs that blocked me in, and more importantly, blocked a bunch of other people out. Saturday, we did the Abe Lincoln life and death tribute (he's actually from Kentucky, and we've been there). And most importantly, I got my eyebrows 'threaded' at the mall in St Louis. Wow, what an experience. An Eastern Indian woman winds some sewing thread up, puts some in her mouth, and uses the tension to roll over hairs and pull them out. I highly recommend it to everyone.

California 1/08

Doug and Net drove down, I flew into Long Beach. We love visiting Pierce Brothers Cemetery (where Heath Ledgers LA viewing was held) and enjoyed our day at Disneyland. We had a corn dog, Blue Bayou with Monte Cristo, Crab Cakes (not for k8), Prime Rib, yummy wedge salads, great mint julip, and much needed Diet Coke. To top it off, we sat on the waters edge. I just love Disneyland.
